Dear Rita and other staff, we have enjoyed our stay here so very much this 5 days en we hope to return one day. The apaziment had airconditioning and was so clean we also had a garden! The breakfast and the dinner in the evening were also fantastically!!! make sure you have a reservation because the staff and food are amazing. Rita also aRRanged us the taxi service to the boat. really amazing!! What a warm and lovely team enormously friendly and great. Greetings from Rosalie and Parents van der Poel from Holland.
Posizione fantastica con panorama mozzafiato, punto di partenza ottimale per visitare il Lago di Como godendo però della tranquillità di un borgo immerso nella natura. Rita ed il suo staff ti fanno sentire a casa e non ti fanno mancare proprio nulla. Insomma un vero angolo di paradiso.
Incredible hotel with well equipt apartment. The views are incredible. Rita and the staff are so helpful, friendly and make the stay amazing.
Rita est très accueillante, excellente hôte. Hotel très calme et confortable dans un village pittoresque et charmant. Très bon petit déjeuner Piscine très agréable. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.
Excellent stay! The rooms were very large, clean, and well furnished. It was great to have a kitchen and dining area. The view of Lake Como was amazing. Rita and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful. I had a late arrival, and am thankful to Rita not only for booking a taxi from the train station but for arranging for a pizza after the restaurant closed. I was attending a conference in Varenna that started early in the morning ,which meant I missed the breakfast buffet, but the staff offered to have a tray delivered to my room. The path down to Varenna takes 10-15 minutes to walk and is very steep, but it was good exercise at the end of the day.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Il Portichetto! The shuttle picked us up from the train station with no issues, the apartment was clean and well maintained, and both Rita and Kirstie were great at responding to any questions we had. The restaurant next to the hotel was also fabulous. Overall, a lovely stay and I highly recommend it!
We stayed at the lovely Casa Rita apartment. It had everything we needed and so many nice touches. We loved gathering for breakfast as well as having the restaurant available in the evenings. Rita and the team create such a nice atmosphere and make you feel like family. We would love to return in the future!

Rita's hospitality was marvelous.The rooms are beautiful and silent.The breakfast was excellent. Rita had some helpful tips, for example about the wayfarers way. You ned to have a Carsten or good legs, as the hotel is about 150 meter above the Lake, but it was worth every step. Last but Not least, there's Beppo the friendly dog who seems to believe he's a cat (allways lays in your way and never makes way for nobody).
The ladies of Hotel Il Portichetto were so welcoming, helpful and excellent hosts. They made everything very easy and accommodating. View was beautiful from the room. Thank you ladies for wonderful service and an excellent stay.
